Sendik’s Fine Foods

For many years the Balistreri family have operated their very successful single store operation at the Sendik’s Towne Center in Brookfield, Wisconsin, but was looking for ways to strengthen their position within a very competitive grocery environment.  Their current store design did not make the initial impression on customers that they had hoped for.  Certain product categories had potential for growth but were limited in square footage.  The owners felt they needed to put an emphasis on the service food offerings, to really create a dramatic “food experience” for the customer.

After extensive discussion with their management team, it was determined that the initial phase of remodeling should be in their liquor department, bakery, produce, deli, cheese, sushi and dairy. Innovative fixture planning, case selection, custom food bars, custom millwork, décor design and material selections all combine to create a very warm inviting atmosphere.

By adding custom food bars and creating exciting venues within aisle one, the store has become a showcase.  Plans were developed and the remodel was undertaken department by department, all while the store continue to operate.  It’s an exciting store that speaks volumes in how the owners really want to give their patrons a great shopping experience.  We admire their dedication to their store and are grateful to be part of projects like this one.
